- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate halal-certified, chopped
- ¼ cup unsalted butter softened (56 g)
- ½ cup granulated sugar 100 g
- ½ cup light brown sugar packed (110 g)
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1 tbsp alcohol-free vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup all-purpose flour 80 g
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder 25 g
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 90 g
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- ¾ cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
Mix flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder; set aside.
Melt chocolate and butter; stir in both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth.
Combine wet and dry mixtures; fold in chocolate chips, coconut, and almonds.
Drop spoonfuls on a baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
