- 1 cup water
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, and salt.
Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves completely.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Let cool, then pour into a clean jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
