Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup low-sodium tamari gluten-free
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • ½ cup cold water
  • tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds optional for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Combine tamari, brown sugar, honey, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan.
  • Simmer over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Mix cornstarch with cold water to make a slurry.
  • Stir the slurry into the sauce and cook until thickened.
  • Cool, store in a glass jar, and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Sesame oil is optional but adds great flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness or salt to taste.
  • Works perfectly as a glaze, stir-fry sauce, or dip.
