- ½ cup low-sodium tamari gluten-free
- ¼ cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- ½ cup cold water
- 1½ tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame seeds optional for garnish
Combine tamari, brown sugar, honey, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan.
Simmer over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Mix cornstarch with cold water to make a slurry.
Stir the slurry into the sauce and cook until thickened.
Cool, store in a glass jar, and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
