Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves or 2 tablespoons dried lemon balm
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional
  • A few slices of fresh ginger optional
  • A few mint leaves optional
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash the fresh lemon balm leaves under cool water and pat them dry.
  • In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  • Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat. Add the lemon balm leaves (and ginger/mint if using). Cover and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain the mixture into a cup or pitcher. Add honey and lemon juice if desired.
  • Drink it warm or allow it to cool and serve over ice for a refreshing herbal beverage.

Notes

For best results, drink twice a day – once in the morning and once before bed.
Use fresh lemon balm for a stronger effect.
