I love making these mozzarella stuffed meatballs because they are juicy on the outside and filled with melted cheese inside. In my experience, they are easy to prepare using simple halal ingredients and perfect for family meals. I usually serve them with pasta or bread, and they always turn out delicious and satisfying.

- 1/4 cup unseasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 lb halal Italian poultry sausage casings removed
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tbsp halal Worcestershire sauce or soy/tamari
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp red chili flakes
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup grated parmesan halal
- 4 mozzarella cheese sticks cut into pieces
In a bowl, I mix breadcrumbs and milk and let it soak for 2–3 minutes.
I add turkey, sausage, egg, spices, parmesan, and sauce.
I mix everything gently until combined.
I cut mozzarella into small cubes.
I take a small portion of meat, flatten it, and place cheese inside.
I roll it into a ball and seal it well.
I place meatballs on a baking tray.
I bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
